JOB PROFILE

The individual should be self-motivated, creative and proactive, to work successfully in a fast-paced environment including multiple platforms and architectures, diverse technologies and lab environments. The individual will work closely with developers, project managers, network engineers and other stakeholders throughout the SDLC, executing test iterations, tracking / reporting results, troubleshooting and coordinating defect resolution. The individual should have a strong understanding of SDLC processes and the QA lifecycle and methodology.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Interact with product management, project management and development teams to develop a strong understanding of the project and testing objectives
• Design and create test conditions and scripts to address business and technical use cases
• Use existing tools and techniques to execute test cases and build/script new tools for performing testing/validation function
• Develop and lead the automation strategy/effort and generate scripts to perform automated testing cycles using (primarily) Selenium
• Execute and analysis automation test results
• Participate in troubleshooting and triggering of issues with different teams to drive towards root cause identification and resolution
• Document, track and escalate issues as appropriate, using BugTracker or similar tools/means
• Support production deployment of applications and perform "validation testing" during the off-hours maintenance windows

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

• 3-4 years of experience in development and/or testing role
• Technical background and an understanding of the IT industry
• Database skills, mainly in Oracle and SQL Server
• Good experience with different Operating Systems, with emphasis on Unix variants
• Good understanding of object oriented programming, J2EE architecture, .NET, etc
• Knowledge of automated testing tools, like JMeter, Selenium etc
• Must demonstrate an understanding of IP networking, protocols such as HTTP and HTTPS, firewalls, routers, etc
• Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple, diverse projects simultaneously
• Must be flexible, independent and self motivated
• Android Mobile Application Testing is additional Advantage

Job Description:
Minimum 3-4 years of software testing experience in Automation development using Selenium (Primary Skill) and QTP (or any other automation tool – secondary skill)
•Experience in test script development using Selenium 2.0, automated smoke, functional, and regression test suites
•Good Understanding of Selenium 1.0 and 2.0 Frameworks
•Good Programming Skills in Java, oops concepts, JUnit /TestNG Framework, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, writing and executing SQL queries
•Understanding of Build Frameworks like Ant or Maven
•Should have good understanding of vb-scripting
•Should have experience in writing functions for various automation project
•Should have worked on at least 1 automation frameworks
